CAITY GYORGY   (pronounced jorj) is a 2-time JUNO award-winning Canadian vocalist known for singing bebop and swing music. She has performed at jazz clubs and festivals across Canada, Mexico, Japan and the USA and has worked and recorded with incredible musicians including Christine Jensen, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Ira Coleman, Bryn Roberts and Joe LaBarbera, to name a few.

VALDY  This Canadian legend returns to Lakefield to bring you a warm and friendly afternoon with songs from his unique and often controversial original folk songbook. winner of 2 Junos and 12 additional Juno nominations. four of his 14 albums are certified gold and have achieved sales of nearly half a million copies.

BUZZ BRASS – Famous inspirations   Thanks to outstanding original transcriptions, rediscover famous compositions from the turn of the 20th century by giants such as Debussy, Ravel, Dvořák, Liszt and others, including Khachaturian’s celebrated Sabre Dance. The programme, as inspired as it is inspiring, consists of veritable timeless masterpieces that all audiences will be able to appreciate. Come and hear these works under the new incomparable light that Buzz Brass casts upon them!

CHRIS HALL and THE COMIC QUARTRET  Accompanied by a string quartet, Chris Hall (clarinet) will delight you with beautiful music while making you laugh repeatedly! This irresistible group promises to fill your ears and heart with their joie de vivre and their beautiful music making. Between the performance of each piece, Chris turns into a stand-up comic and makes fun of the musicians, the music and especially all the rituals surrounding classical music that we’ve grown to live with. All just to remind you that classical music is for everyone, and you don’t need a PhD to appreciate it. The program features works by Mozart, Brahms, and Weber.

THE SHUFFLE DEMONS   A high-energy Canadian band that blends virtuosic jazz and funk playing with eye-catching costumes and over the top stage antics to produce an incredible show. A hit at festivals all over the world, the Shuffle Demons are a crowd pleasing, full-on musical group that backs up wild stage antics with phenomenal playing by some of Canada’s most talented musicians.
